HurstWorks is now OPEN! Come and try before you buy

June 11, 2024

HurstWorks coworking space is now open and welcoming new members in Hurstpierpoint. Located at the former Clock Shop, 36 High Street, it has been a lengthy and often complicated process converting this period building into a 21st century office space, but the result is a welcoming space that retains lots of the charm of the building but with superfast broadband, modern ventilation and amenities.

Owners and local residents, Rachael and Rob Fisher, wanted to do things right with the renovation; the building has served the village in many guises over the centuries, including being an old grocery shop and most recently an antique clock emporium. They wanted to ensure this history shone through and have kept as many original features as they can. They are also displaying work from local artists on their walls. In fact, keeping things local and helping the High Street thrive is one of their main priorities.

HurstWorks has a sister business Wellness34 owned by Rachael and Becky Uden of Uden Pilates in the building next door. Wellness34 is a collective welcoming therapists and practitioners from across the area. It will bring ancient and modern therapies along with small group classes to the High Street, some of which you’ll have heard of, some are a little more unusual.

As Rachael says “When we took on 34 and 36 High Street in Hurst, our main motivation was to salvage unloved premises and to create modern, economically sustainable businesses. The COVID years showed us that our High Streets are valuable community assets that deserve our support. HurstWorks will be a hub for local businesses to receive coaching, marketing and networking support.
